Butt Weld Gate Valve

The Forged Steel Butt Weld Gate Valve is designed for tough operating conditions, including high-temperature oil slurry lines in refineries, ethylene cracking units, and high-pressure steam systems. In these applications, even a small leak is not acceptable. Flanged joints use gaskets, which can become potential leak paths. Welding is the safest option.

Chenxiang offers this butt weld gate valve with BW (butt weld) or SW (socket weld) connections. The valve is welded directly to the pipe, creating a single-piece connection without a gasket. This eliminates the risk of external leakage.
The models are Z61H, Z61Y, and Z61W. The body materials include forged steel A105 carbon steel, F304/F316L stainless steel, F22 chrome-moly steel for high-temperature service, and LCB low-temperature steel. The available drive types are manual, gear-operated, pneumatic, electric, and hydraulic. The connection types are BW and SW. The hard seal materials are H (Cr13 stainless steel), W (body seal), and Y (STL overlay).

The bevel quality of a butt weld valve is critical because it determines whether field welding will be successful. We use high-precision beveling equipment and inspect the bevel angle, land thickness, and surface finish of every batch with gauges. The bevels meet ASME B16.25 standards, giving the welder a reliable surface to work with.
