Forged Steel Check Valve

Downstream of equipment such as pump outlets, compressor pipelines, and reactor feed lines, sudden shutdown of a pump set or compressor can cause reverse flow in the pipeline, instantly triggering water hammer. In severe cases, this may damage impellers or even rupture pipelines.

This Forged Steel Check Valve from Chenxiang features a fully forged steel valve body with a dense structure and high pressure rating. It opens automatically when pushed by the forward flow of the medium. When reverse flow occurs, the disc closes immediately under the force of gravity or spring pressure, requiring no external power source or manual intervention.

The Forged Steel Check Valve is suitable for applications in petroleum, chemical processing, natural gas, light industry, power generation, pharmaceuticals, metallurgy, water supply, military industry, and other fields. Applicable media include compressed air, natural gas, coal gas, liquefied gas, nitrogen, oxygen, hydrogen, steam, flue gas, and various process tail gases.

Available models include H41H, H41Y, H41W, H44H, H44Y, and H44W. Material options include forged steel A105, or carbon steel; F304/F316L, or stainless steel; F22, a high-temperature chromium-molybdenum steel; and LCB, a low-temperature steel. Connection types include RF, FM, G, M, and RTJ. Hard sealing materials include H, or Cr13 stainless steel; W, or body-seat sealing; and Y, or STL hardfacing.

Two structural types are available: lift type and swing type. In the lift type, the valve disc moves vertically along the guide sleeve and closes quickly, making it suitable for small-diameter, high-pressure applications. In the swing type, the disc rotates around a hinge pin, offering a large opening angle and low flow resistance, making it suitable for large-diameter, low-pressure applications.

Before leaving the factory, each valve undergoes valve disc opening pressure testing and reverse sealing testing. A low-pressure air source is used to verify opening sensitivity, while high-pressure water is used to confirm reverse sealing performance. The valve body surface is also treated with a shot blasting machine to improve paint adhesion.

In addition, Chenxiang performs spring pressure testing for each Forged Steel Check Valve to ensure that the valve disc opens fully at the minimum flow rate and closes quickly at the moment reverse flow occurs. Chenxiang also holds self-operated import and export rights and can directly handle export procedures.
