Key Selection Criteria For Electric Flanged Ball Valves

Jun 09, 2026 Leave a message

Medium Characteristics

Corrosiveness: Select a stainless steel valve body or a fluorine-lined ball valve.

Temperature: High-temperature applications require a metal-to-metal hard-sealing structure.

Particulate Content: Hard-sealed V-port ball valves provide a shearing action, making them suitable for media containing fibers or solid particles.

Pressure and Temperature

Select the nominal pressure (e.g., PN 1.6–6.4 MPa) based on the pipeline pressure rating.

Verify the medium temperature range (e.g., -40°C to 450°C) to ensure the valve body material is suitable.

Control Method

On/Off Type: Suitable for simple flow control; supports ON/OFF signals.

Modulating Type: Supports 4–20 mA analog signals for proportional flow regulation.

Actuator Configuration

Power Supply: AC 220V, AC 380V, or DC 24V; select based on site conditions.

Protection Rating: IP65/IP67 dust and water protection; suitable for outdoor or harsh environments.

Explosion-Proof Requirements: Explosion-proof actuators (e.g., Exd II BT4) are required for flammable or explosive areas.
