(1) Before disassembly, ensure that pressure has been fully relieved from the upstream and downstream pipelines.
(2) Non-metallic parts must be removed from the cleaning agent immediately after cleaning; do not soak them for extended periods.
(3) During assembly, flange bolts must be tightened symmetrically, gradually, and evenly.
(4) The cleaning agent must be compatible with the ball valve's rubber parts, plastic parts, metal parts, and the working medium (e.g., fuel gas). If the working medium is fuel gas, gasoline (GB484-89) may be used to clean metal parts; non-metallic parts should be cleaned with pure water or alcohol.
(5) Individual disassembled parts may be cleaned by immersion. Metal parts with non-metallic components still attached should be wiped with a clean, fine silk cloth dampened with the cleaning agent (to prevent fibers from shedding and adhering to the parts). All grease, dirt, adhesive residue, and dust adhering to the surfaces must be removed during cleaning.
(6) Exercise caution during disassembly and reassembly to avoid damaging sealing surfaces, especially on non-metallic parts; use specialized tools when removing O-rings.
(7) Proceed with assembly only after the cleaning agent has evaporated from the cleaned surfaces (a dry silk cloth may be used to wipe them); do not leave parts exposed for extended periods, as this may lead to rusting or dust contamination.
(8) New parts must also be cleaned thoroughly before assembly.
(9) Use grease for lubrication. The grease must be compatible with the ball valve's metal materials, rubber parts, plastic parts, and the working medium. If the working medium is fuel gas, "Te-221" (Special 221) grease, for example, may be used. Apply a thin layer of grease to the surfaces of the seal grooves, the rubber seals, and the sealing and friction surfaces of the valve stem. (10) During assembly, metal chips, fibers, grease (except where specified), dust, and other impurities or foreign matter shall not be allowed to contaminate, adhere to, or remain on component surfaces or enter internal cavities.
